What are the Blue Cross Blue Shield 2020 Summit Virtual Sessions?


The BCBS 2020 Summit Virtual Sessions is a virtual gathering of Blue Cross Blue Shield Plan professionals across all disciplines to learn and share insights. It’s an opportunity to understand the visions and strategies of Blue Cross Blue Shield CEOs and other world-class thought leaders during keynote session panel discussions, to gain inspiration from colleagues at other Blue Cross Blue Shield Plans who are facing similar challenges in these uncertain times, and to make valuable connections with professionals from across the industry as we all look to improve healthcare for the health of America.




How long is the event?


The BCBS 2020 Summit Virtual Sessions will take place September 22 – October 2, and can be accessed on your computer or mobile device. Sessions will remain on-demand for up to 60 days after the conference concludes. While the full conference agenda has not yet been released, our preliminary agenda has the first activity of the day beginning at 8 a.m. (CDT) and sessions are scheduled to begin at 11 a.m. (CDT) and conclude each afternoon at 4:30 p.m. (CDT).




How much is conference registration?


The full conference registration fee for the BCBS 2020 Summit Virtual Sessions for Blue Cross Blue Shield Plan attendees is $99.

Speaking and Leaving Registration indicates that you will be present only for your session and will not attend any other sessions.

When will the full conference agenda be available?


Access the preliminary agenda online now. The full agenda will be available closer to the start of the event.




Can I register with my personal email address?


For security reasons, only work email addresses will be allowed to access the virtual platform. Unfortunately, we will not be able to accommodate any requests to use a personal email address for access. (E.g., Gmail, Outlook, Yahoo, etc.)




How do I login to view sessions?


Detailed information will be emailed to all attendees the week prior to the event including your unique password, a link to the virtual platform and instructions on the two-factor authentication system in place.




I’m unavailable during the scheduled broadcast. Can I watch a session later?


Yes! All scheduled sessions will be available for up to 60 days after the event concludes so you can re-watch your favorites or catch up on sessions you may have missed.




What is the best way to watch sessions?


The virtual platform is compatible with desktop computers, iPads, tablet computers and mobile devices with wireless internet connection. For the best experience, we recommend viewing sessions on your computer using Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox or Microsoft Edge. The virtual platform may not look as intended if you use Internet Explorer.

If you are watching remotely, we recommend disconnecting from your VPN from your work to maximize the quality of the streaming sessions.




Can I earn continuing education credit?


Yes, CLE, CPE and CME/CE credits will be offered. Click here for more information. Please note, in order to receive credit, you will need to watch the sessions at their original scheduled time. Credits will not be offered for watching sessions on-demand.




Is the virtual platform secure?


The BCBS 2020 Summit Virtual Sessions is a private, invitation-only event that is not open to the public or the press. There will be a two-factor authentication process in order to ensure only verified attendees are accessing the content.




What’s new and different in this virtual environment?


Several new and exciting experiences are being introduced to the BCBS 2020 Summit Virtual Sessions, including:

How do I network and connect with colleagues at the virtual event?


There are more ways than ever to connect with your Plan colleagues and sponsors. Throughout the event there will be several chatrooms - both open discussion and topic-specific chatrooms. You can also send messages to your colleagues and sponsors through the virtual platform as well as the mobile app. Plus, there will be several fun activities, themed receptions and games that will create more opportunities to meet with others from across the System in fun and new ways!
